Our Philosophy
Racism is so destructive that it disempowers a person by devaluing their identity. Sometimes it even destroys a society and creates divisions in a society.
Another phenomenon is xenophobia, which describes attitudes, prejudices and behaviour that reject, exclude and often hurt people, based on the perception that they are outsiders or foreigners to the community, society or national identity. Both are the opposite of the democratic principle of equality and the right of all people to be treated fairly and equally.
We want to shake people up by making simple statements that will wake them up, even if only for a split second. Sometimes a simple confrontation is all it takes to trigger someone’s brain to think and act differently.

Onze Filosofie
Racisme kan zo verwoestend zijn. Het verzwakt een persoon door zijn of haar identiteit neer te halen. Soms kan het ook een samenleving verwoesten en groepvorming veroorzaken binnen een samenleving.
Een ander fenomeen is xenofobie; een afkeer voor alles wat vreemd is. Door middel van houding, vooroordelen en gedrag worden mensen afgewezen, buitengesloten en gekwetst. Alleen maar omdat zij worden gezien als buitenstaanders van een gemeente, samenleving of nationale identiteit.
Wij willen mensen wakker schudden door middel van simpele uitdrukkingen, al is het maar voor even. Soms is een simpele confrontatie genoeg om iemand te triggeren om na te denken en zich anders te gedragen.
